Capacitating 40 fresh graduate girls and providing 3 months Free internet access to fresh graduate girls in Baghlan province

Project summary

Main aim of this project is to support those unemployed fresh graduate girls who don’t have work experience and most of times their job applications are rejected due to lack of work experience. And also provide some of them with free internet facility to get information about requirements for employment with governmental or non-governmental organizations.

To achieve this goal, first of all YRC Baghlan will be provided with 10 internet modems and will be supported with their top up for three months.

To familiarize the beneficiaries of the project with requirements recruitment and some basics of administration, 6 rounds of trainings on topics like job seeking methods, proper CV writing, job interview technics, job finding sources, basics of administration, usage of word program and usage of Excel program in administration will be organized and conducted.

In order to draw attention provincial authorities to the recruitment process of such youth and ask their support for facilitating employment process for them, two rounds of roundtables participated by some elite youth as representatives of them and officials from provincial government will be organized as part of this project.

The main topic of the round table will be discussion on how to remove barriers from the way of youth employment. Representatives of youth will express the problems they face while seeking jobs, representatives of LDs will describe the laws and regulations related to employment process of government and participating top officials will be asked for their commitment for supporting the process, facilitating fresh graduate girls’ recruitment and investigate the cases in which related staff create problems for them or misuse their official positions. 

For better understanding and learning experiences of other provinces in solving similar problem and from the other hand establishing relation with central related governmental organizations, two exposure visits to Kabul are part of the project plan too.

Project Goal

To enable fresh graduate of Baghlan province gain required information and knowledge about recruitment process and support them for providing employment facility by officials of Baghlan province.

Microgrant project Objectives:

The overall objective of the project is to support the targeted freshly graduated girls to gain basic knowledge about how can they prepare themselves for getting employment by providing them with some related training, drawing the attention of related officials for supporting and facilitating their employment, and providing them with learning facilities through the internet and exchange of similar experiences from the other provinces.    

Specific objectives are:

  • To provide, in a short period of time, the knowledge-based required for getting employment in governmental and non-governmental organizations via providing them with some elementary trainings.
  • To support facilitation of employment process of fresh graduate girls in governmental and non-governmental organizations with creating context of face to face meetings with top official of provincial authorities to contribute providing youth with free access to internet for increasing their related knowledge and information and finding job facilities.
